Grandmaster   Yahara
In contrast to the commercial trend of so-called “sports karate”, Grandmaster Yahara places emphasis on the “Single Devasting Strike” (Ichigeki Hissatsu) and a virtually instantaneous offense and defense. KWF Karate is distinguished by its dynamic and powerful movements that engage the body’s kinetic chain, going beyond superficial “sports karate” moves. Training in KWF Karate integrates three essential elements: Basic techniques (Kihon), Kata (Sequential routines), and Kumite (Sparring).

The techniques embedded within each Kata routine are honed using KWF’s unique methodology, namely, the Three Methods of Power (Santen Rikiho), which are also used in Kumite (Sparring). At KWF, we recognize that it is through this holistic approach that we strive to embody the essence of the Martial Arts and elevate our Karate practice.

Together, let us embrace this philosophy and continue to cultivate our skills and character in the spirit of KWF Budo Karate.
